What's new in Commercial Version 1.7.1 (04/28/2010)
K2 category support has been enhanced dramatically giving the module ability to search for an image even for nested categories and by category name, not just category / item ids.
This means that if you want to assign an image to an entire category in K2 you can set the image for the parent category and be done with it whereas in previous versions of the module, you would have to specify the same image for every child category as well.
There have also a few minor bug fixes as well.
About the module:
1.7.x is a complete re-write of the module that has been in progress for a while, it offers the same ease of administration while adding some additional features that will not be found in the
1.5.2 version of the module, the biggest and most important of which is the category and section header support.
The module will check to see if there is an article image first, if there isn't, it will check for a category image, if there's not one of those, it will check for a section image .. in short, this means that you can assign an image per category/section rather than having to specify for each and every article.
Additionally, it's now easier to set up because you can view the source in your web browser to see a hidden block of HTML that tells you the image names that the module is attempting to find, in order.. this means you can specify a default header image on a live site and still have the ability to find out what the module is trying to look for.

K2 Support is an exciting, albeit new feature for OD header images and it aims to be fairly extensive. The system supports nested categories, so you have the option to use the header image of any category id in the path... So say you have categories nested 10 deep, you can use any of the 10 category ids for your image, or the item id itself.. The possibilities are endless.
Blog category support was missing as an oversight and has since beed added.

What's new in Commercial Version 1.6.2 (08/25/2009)
A bug fix that would cause weird spacing in the header image placement, it only seems to effect certain localizations. If you're not experiencing this issue then there's no need to upgrade.

What's new in Commercial Version 1.6.1 (05/13/2009)
1.6.1 brings Docman and jEvents support, you can specify images by category ID in Docman, and by event ID in jEvents.
